FAQ
Q. Will there be a line? Will I have to wait for hours if I walk
in?
A. No, this is not Vegas, sometimes we are busy, but the longest wait you
would have would be 15-20 minutes...EVEN ON FRIDAYS? YEP, NOT A PROBLEM.
Q. Do I need
to bring witnesses with me?
A. No, no witnesses are required in the State of Ohio.
Q. What do
I need to bring with me for a walk-in?
A. Bring the paperwork from the probate court, including the return envelope,
your photo identification and cash for the service you want performed. Please
do not bring in $100.00 bills for small services as we do not have change.
Q. How many
guests can I bring if I walk in? And how much will it cost me?
A. You may bring up to 6 guests for $60.00 cash, and add as many as you like
for $10.00 per person. (This applies to walk-in’s only)
Q. Do children
count? Do I have to pay for them?
A. Children count as guests if they are not in a carrier. And we charge the
same for them as your other guests.
Q. Can I bring
additional guests and have them wait outside or in the waiting room while
I get married in the elopement chapel?
A. NO. Any and all guests that arrive with you must be paid for.
Q. Do my bridesmaids, groomsmen, flowergirls and ring bearer count as
guests? And what about photographers, wedding consultants, videographers?
A. Yes, everyone other than the bride and groom are considered guests and
are counted as such.
Q. Can I have
bridesmaids and groomsmen in the elopement chapel? Or for any of the walk-in
ceremonies?
A. We only have room for 2 people to stand with the couple (1 bridesmaid,
1 groomsman) and we do not have any aisle to walk down in the elopement chapel,
nor do we play the wedding march. We do not have you walking down the aisle
for any of the elopement ceremonies in any of the chapels.
Q. Can we get married in the elopement chapel and have our photos
taken in the garden?
A. No. If you get married in the elopement chapel, you and your guests may
not go out into the garden and take photos.
Q. If I get married in the formal chapel, can we take photos in the garden
(and vice versa)?
A. Yes you may, as long as you adhere to the time constraints
of your alloted time.
Q. Can our guests take photos of us during and after the ceremony?
A. Yes. Within reason, your guests may take all the photos they want during
the ceremony, and for 2-3 minutes after (this applies only to walk-ins in
the elopement chapel) for our larger weddings, you may take photos after the
ceremony for as long as your time permits.
Q. If I am booking a wedding, can I bring my own professional
photographer? And is there an additional fee to do so?
A. You may bring your own photographer, there are NO additional fees to do
so. However, they are included in your guest count and they may not arrive
before your scheduled time to "set up" or scout locations and they
must adhere to your time constraints.
Q. May I bring my own officiant?
A. Yes you may. We charge a $100.00 additional fee.
Q. May I have people who read passages, sing or dance at my wedding?
A. Yes you may, but it requires a rehearsal at $75.00 per half an hour.
Q. May I bring
musicians? Do you have space and outlets for them to plug into?
A. No, I am sorry, we do not have space for keyboards, DJ's
etc. You may bring a single musician whose instrument does not require electricity
(i.e.: acoustic guitar, sax, flute, even a harp) and you must include them
in your guest count. And it requires a rehearsal at $75.00 per half hour.
(also, they may not arrive early to set up, they must be able to do what they
need to within the timeframe of your wedding time.)
Q. Can I decorate
the chapels the way I want? Can I bring in floral arrangements to replace
what is there? Can I cover the chairs?
A. Sorry, but we can not accomodate any changes in our decor. We have kept
things as simple as possible, only using greens and whites so that it won't
interfere with your colors. And our weddings are booked back-to-back and there
is no way for us to shut down and re-set the chapels for the next wedding.(unless
you are willing to pay for the time at $250.00 an hour for set-up and tear-down,
mimimum fee $250.00 and you must be out of here before our next wedding, with
everything re-set as it was.)
